Lucy Gaines is a writer, creative director, and brand strategist specializing in multimedia storytelling and comprehensive marketing. She is pursuing an MFA in Documentary Expression and MA is Southern Studies from the Center for the Study of Southern Culture at The University of Mississippi. Previously, she attended Rhodes College where she earned a BA in English Literature and a BFA in Studio Art.
Over the past ten years, Lucy enjoyed integral roles in several million-dollar startups and operated a creative marketing agency out of Nashville, TN. Now in Oxford, MS, she is highly involved in arts and literature leadership as a member of Bozart's Gallery Artist Alliance, Production Assistant to Oxford Conference for the Book, and Logistics Chair to the Southern Writers/Southern Writing Conference. She practices film, photography, and writing with an emphasis on revisioning sense of place for the present environment.
